       New team formed for Nurses Ministry in Gulbarga



A program held in St. Mary's School, Gulbarga. Around 30  people attended. Tijo Tomy from KJYT and Santhosh Sunny from KJYNT was present.  A special word of appreciation to Biby Paul for Coordinating Nurses ministry in past one year.

 Prayer for Karnataka





Abba Father, along with the entire Jesus Youth of Karnataka,I cry to thee, to bless us with the charism of Intercession. Grant us the grace to grow in thy likeness, drawing energy from your Church. And if it is your greater will, then use us as missionaries like St Francis Xavier and St Theresa of Child Jesus for evangelizing Karnataka. Grant us the gift of leadership and perseverance like St Paul, your apostle.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen*

 Lord Let Thy Kingdom come in this state of Karnataka.

About Us

Jesus Youth is an international Catholic youth movement with a charismatic spirituality. It had its beginnings in Kerala (India), but is now active in nearly 25 different countries around the world.

Jesus Youth is an initiative of young people themselves, who, filled with the Holy Spirit try to reach out to other young people. The strength of the movement is its special focus on a life centered on the Lord Jesus Christ: beginning with an experience of God nourished by prayer, the Word of God, the sacraments and fellowship, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others.

Though not an actual community, Jesus Youth is a network of small but vibrant groups of young people. In their own life situations, they strive to give time to the Lord, responding to the challenges of today’s world in the power of the Holy Spirit.

It was in the early 90’s that Jesus Youth fellowship groups started to bloom in few places of Karnataka particularly in Bangalore, Coorg and Sullia. A prayer group came into existence in Bangalore by the initiative of a small number of youngsters who came to the city for their higher education and better job prospects. In KVG College, Sullia a prayer group started functioning in the year 1993. At same stage in the time, some Jesus Youth from northern part of Kerala made an effort to build prayer groups in Coorg. In Sullia the first Jesus youth programme happened in 1995. It was in mid nineties the movement slowly started to lay foundation in places like Mangalore, Shimoga, Belthangadi, Puthur, Manipal, Mudbidri etc.

Over the past years the Lord has used many people to build his kingdom through the platform of Jesus youth, in various parts of Karnataka. Today there are Jesus Youth groups in over 33 places in Karnataka. The presence of Jesus Youth is seen and felt strongly in nursing schools, campuses, schools, parishes and hospitals. The zonal service teams, the prayer group’s or, the core teams coordinate the activities in these areas. Presently, the Jesus Youth has various prayer groups, intercessory groups in various colleges, schools, hospitals, nursing schools and parishes in Karnataka.
